The skill of writing an article – and getting it published in a peer reviewed journal – is highly prized, but rarely taught. CLAHRC West are offering a free two-day course which concentrates on this skill, and in particular on the process of writing. Participants should come with an idea for an article, and you will work this up during the first day (8 March). You will then come back on the second day (15 March) with your draft paper, and learn how to progress it through to submission.
The course is aimed at people working in all areas of the NHS or in the voluntary sector who have completed a research project and have at least an outline of the results, but who have not yet started to draft the paper. You will need some protected time to work on the paper between 8 March and 15 March. The course is run by Dr. Mark Pickin.

”Thanks very much for this Mark. The course was really great and I can see already how much it’s helped writing, also just by questioning how I’ve been doing it!”
