For many academics, posters are a necessary evil. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
In this hour long session we will go through approaches to improve your poster. By thinking about how people interact with and consume your poster, you can make it much better. We’ll also look at how standards of good communication and user experience design can help us make better academic posters.
Improving your poster game could improve the interactions you have with people at conferences. Who knows, you could even win the coveted best poster prize!
During the course you will learn how to:
Think about the people viewing your poster and want they want to get from it
Apply communication and user experience principles to designing your poster
Create potentially award-winning posters!
The course will be hosted online.
