New diagram explains how young people can get involved in research

A new diagram developed by ARC West public contributor Louise Ting and our Young People’s Advisory Group (YPAG) explains how young people can get involved in research.
“The YPAG members were essential collaborators on this project. Lots of changes were made according to their feedback – which you can easily see if you compare this one to the original adult version! I was also able to retain the essence of my original work and own creative style whilst incorporating their comments.
“I’m very grateful to the ARC West team for their support along the way. This diagram would not exist without them and the young people.
“To me, this project has been a massive success. It’s been hard work but enjoyable, rewarding, and hopefully a helpful resource for others to use in the future.”
Lucy Condon, who manages ARC West’s Young People’s Advisory Group, said:
“I’m so pleased to see this project come to fruition. Louise’s original diagram has already proved so popular. We all agreed that a version for young people was a logical next step.
“As usual, our YPAG members came up with the goods, and have helped Louise develop a diagram that’s useful, accessible and inspiring, without being patronising. Thanks to everyone involved for such great work!”
