David is a public health researcher with a particular interest in children and young people’s mental health, applied health and care research, and health inequities. David has a psychology and neuroscience background and uses mixed methods and evidence synthesis methods to evaluate and improve public health. David has worked on a wide range of health topics (including alcohol consumption, mental health, adverse childhood experiences, prescription opioid dependence and prenatal alcohol exposure) using different study designs/methods (feasibility studies, qualitative studies, quantitative studies, systematic reviews and secondary data analysis). Alongside his research, David enjoys teaching and supervising students and contributing to post-graduate modules.
