Research Fellow in Knowledge Mobilisation and Implementation
Helen Baxter is a researcher specialising in knowledge mobilisation techniques and mechanisms. She currently works across the ARC West projects, to enhance the existing practice in knowledge mobilisation and implementation. Helen has a particular focus on mental health research, as well as her ongoing interest and collaborations in the field of urgent care.
Prior to this role, Helen held a NIHR Knowledge Mobilisation Research Fellowship which focused on developing and designing training to facilitate better conversations between researchers and stakeholders within urgent care. Alongside her fellowship, Helen was employed at the NIHR in an advisory role to support dissemination and knowledge mobilisation both within the NIHR and the wider research community. For several years Helen worked as a knowledge broker across the universities, commissioning, and clinical organisations in the area of urgent care. Helen is currently completing her professional training in Occupational Psychology with the British Psychological Society.
Helen is a member of the Research in Emergency Care, Avon Collaborative Hub (REACH) and the Knowledge Mobilisation Alliance (KMA). Her current research interests are in relational knowledge sharing across health organisations, partnerships with underserved communities and the underpinning psychological and sociological theory to support knowledge mobilisation.
