Joanna Coast is Professor in the Economics of Health and Care at the University of Bristol. She has published more than 120 research papers in academic journals. She has received major grants from the Medical Research Council and the European Research Council. She is Senior Editor, Health Economics for Social Science and Medicine.

Jo contributes to all aspects of research at ARC West, particularly in relation to the challenges of providing optimal care within a fixed budget, an area in which she has had a long-standing interest.
