Dr Sabi Redwood appointed Deputy Director of CLAHRC West
19 January 2018
We’re pleased to announce that CLAHRC West’s new Deputy Director is Dr Sabi Redwood, who has been working with us since 2014 as the Ethnography Team Lead. Sabi is a Senior Research Fellow in Ethnography and Qualitative Social Science.
“The findings from our collaborative studies are not always easily to implement. We need to realise the value of our research by considering how people, including patients and staff, will be affected by any changes. Planning for and supporting implementation is vital so that findings can be used by our partners and the wider health and care system to improve health and care. I look forward to working with our partners and colleagues on this and other challenges we face in health and social care.”
She is taking over the reins from Professor Jo Coast, who is remaining in the efficiency team but focusing more of her time on her Wellcome Investigator award.
CLAHRC West Director Professor Jenny Donovan said:
“It’s great that Sabi will be taking on this more senior role in CLAHRC West. She has been pivotal in our work since the early days, leading many of our studies and being a strong advocate for our work and ethos of challenging and reducing inequalities. I am particularly looking forward to seeing the new approaches to implementation she is developing.”
