NIHR trainees meeting on the roles of local health networks
14 March 2016
The capacity building team held a meeting on 9 March for NIHR Award Holders in the CLAHRC West region, to explain how the local health networks interact. The NIHR trainees heard presentations from David Relph, Director at Bristol Health Partners, Dr Peter Brindle, Commissioning Evidence-Informed Care Lead at West of England Academic Health Science Network and Dr Jeremy Horwood, Ethnography Team Lead and Senior Research Fellow at CLAHRC West.
The team contacted all NIHR trainees in the region to explore topics that would be useful to them. The sessions were based on this feedback, and gave information about the roles of Bristol Health Partners, West of England AHSN and CLAHRC West. The event was also a networking opportunity for trainees from across the patch who may not otherwise have the chance to connect with each other in their daily roles.
This event was organised by Professor Selena Gray, Training and Capacity Building Team Lead at CLAHRC West.
