Research career tips for nurses and allied health professionals from our learning disabilities nurse intern
25 November 2021
Anna Mulvihill is our award winning research intern. She has just completed her learning disabilities nursing course at the University of the West of England (UWE, Bristol). She’s recorded us this vlog with her insights into research as a career option for midwives, nurses and allied health professionals.
In her vlog she says:
“Prior to this internship, I had absolutely no research experience and all my knowledge was purely from theory based modules during my nurse training.
“But since being on the internship, I’ve had the opportunity to attend lots of different meetings for lots of different projects, attend showcase events to find out what’s happening in the wider research world, network with and work alongside a huge range of research professionals, as well as be involved on a deeper level with one particular study, within which I helped to carry out some of the background work for.”
