South West HEE-NIHR 2021 integrated clinical academic programme awards

The South West National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and Health Education England (HEE) integrated clinical academic programme awards provided three levels of award in 2021. Guidance for the 2021 awards are provided below. Similar awards will be available in Spring 2022.
These awards aim to increase research capacity, by developing people with the potential and aspiration to become leading clinical academics and independent researchers. The programme is available to health and social care professionals including nurses, midwives, allied health professionals (NMAHP) and other non-medical healthcare professionals. Find out which professions are eligible.
This is an opportunity for those in the South West aspiring to develop a clinical academic career to receive short-term support. There are three levels of awards available:
Internship award for individuals with little or no research experience who want to gain an introduction to aspects of clinical research and/or explore a research idea
