He has over 120 peer-review publications broadly covering the areas of public health and alcohol-related policy and harms, radiation, environmental and occupational epidemiology, and exposure measurements and assessment. He has contributed to book chapters on epidemiology, exposure assessment and the effects of electromagnetic fields on humans. His work has been funded by NIHR, the Department of Health, the European Union and various charities. His current research interests include the evaluation of natural experiments with a special focus on public health, machine learning, and the effects of ionising and non-ionizing radiation on human health.
