Will Hollingworth is a Professor of Health Economics at the University of Bristol. His work focuses on reducing unnecessary care, improving the efficiency of service organisation and ensuring fair access to new health technologies that represent value for money. He has published more than 150 research articles in academic journals and has received funding from the National Institute for Health and Care Research and the Medical Research Council.
Will is particularly interested in understanding the causes of regional variations in hospital care and using this to identify procedures where effectiveness and cost-effectiveness is uncertain.
