Martha is the quant lead and programme manager on a NIHR Programme Grant for Applied Research on optimal testing aiming to develop evidence-based testing strategies to monitor long term conditions in primary care. This project is a collaboration between NIHR ARC West and the Centre for Academic Primary Care (CAPC), Population Health Sciences, Bristol Medical School.
Martha joined ARC West in November 2017 and has worked as Research Associate and Senior Research Associate on an NIHR Health Technology Assessment grant on improving diagnosis for coeliac disease and other applied health research projects using evidence synthesis and quantitative analysis methods.
During her PhD at the Luxembourg Institute of Health (Luxembourg) and Trier University (Germany), she studied the long-term effects of childhood adversity on the immune system.
